My marching band season is truly coming to a close; today at 9:30 am of November 14 my band, The James Madison Highschool band preformed on national stage: BOA Grand Nationals in the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. This has been the first time in so many years that a band from my school, and state were invited and preformed in this prestigious competition. To compete against such amazing bands and to be considered to be equal with them truly excites me. Although we were congratulated and showered with praise and cheers, I feel a pang of sadness, like the tolling of a gong inside of my being, for this marks the end of a great season, and as
